What to do when you can't sleep?
Sleep is important for rest, but what about the struggle to sleep when you have a chance? Kylee Nelson came on the show back in the Spring and shared her tips on improving sleep. To listen to that go here, episode 16. If you lay down to rest and thoughts flood your mind, here’s what you can do. Be intentional to process what’s happening in your life through out the day, so that you aren’t flooded with intrusive, or other thoughts, when you go to lay down. Engaging with your thoughts is necessary. Create pockets of time before you lay down to allow your mind to process and wander. The pockets of time you create can be small, and quick. Start small and build up!

Be practical. Speak up for yourself. Ask for what you need! Don’t expect other people to know what you need. Start to become aware of what your body needs. Practice recognizing what your body is trying to communicate. Does it need rest? More nutritious foods? Time for play and fun?
Conscious Parenting
Consciously living means consciously parenting. Nobody is exempt from trauma. Even if I do my best, my kids will still be affected by traumatic events in their lifetime. I can’t protect them from it all. As parents, all we can do is the best with what we know and what we learn.
Healing Emotional Triggers
Let’s continue the conversation around emotional triggering. In today’s episode I share a personal experience of how I am triggered and how inner healing is helping me to feel less emotionally activated. I touch on how codependency shows up and compare how it looks to live interdependent.
How can I trigger less?
Self parenting or reparenting is very healing. It’s imperative to experience feeling surrounded by love and supported. Feeling isolated and alone is a set up for anxiety, depression and despair.
