Relational experiences can’t always be fully explained or understood. They must be experienced! No one can take them from you, and you don’t need anyone to cause you to believe. You believe BECAUSE you’ve experienced it! I can’t debate my experiences with someone and you shouldn’t have to either. Your experiences are valid even if no one else understands or believes them!

Inner Child, I see you
Abuse, neglect and emotional abandonment are all devastating. We have all experienced some form of trauma and through it we learned how to cope, to survive and get through. But unresolved trauma always needs a safe and loving environment in order to heal.
Intrusive Thoughts Go Away
Today’s conversation is for anyone who battles and deals with intrusive thoughts. Intrusive thoughts are anything that makes you think you have something to fear, you’re less than, makes you shut down or run away, or stops you dead in your tracks. It’s the thoughts that seem to run over and over in our minds or interrupt us in the middle of our day.
Tools for Effective Communication
When defensive we feel as if we need to protect ourselves from a threat. When we feel misunderstood, judged, unheard, unloved it easily make us feel unsafe and on the defensive. As much as possible, during the conversation as you recognize that you're feeling the need to protect yourself, pause and remind yourself you are safe. Do your best to not interrupt as the other person is speaking.
Name Those Feelings
You can thrive in life if you want! I'm here to help you understand yourself more and find a way to heal from the roots. Emotional responses are indicators. They show us that more is happening deeper within.
Emotional Maturity
Feeling emotions can be uncomfortable and downright scary. There are various reasons we block ourselves from feeling. And we need to do that sometimes in order to cope and survive through difficulties and traumatic situations. In this space, with me, all of your emotions are welcome—I’m not afraid of them. I actually think we need to let them surface because they’re indicators. They’re helping us to know what’s going on below the surface and help us gain a better understanding of you and why you feel what you feel.

Trauma Doesn't Have to Traumatize
A year ago my husband had an accident on the job he was working. It was a traumatic situation that didn’t traumatize me!! My tendency would have been to make sure my husband and my kids had what they needed during that difficult time but not to think of and care for myself. Instead I walked through those weeks following the accident conscious of what I needed and taking action to make sure I cared for myself. I was able to clearly see the inner healing that had taken place all the months and years prior, and I healed myself even more through the process.
