Be Aromatic

{Aromatic: having a pleasant and distinctive smell}

 A couple weeks ago, Evan brought home a plant that he found on clearance for $2.  The amount of happiness this plant has brought me is worth far more than what we paid for it. It's a beautiful plant and so fragrant! Its aroma fills up the entire room. I am astounded that it gives off such a strong & beautiful scent.

It got me thinking how we all carry an aroma and people experience what we give off whether we intend for them to or not. We have the power to define our fragrance. If you recognize the energy you carry isn't positive, you can change that.

 I want to be so aromatic that people can sense a positive shift as I walk into a room. Sure, not everyone will like the vibe I send. That's life for you! I'm OK with not having everyone like me. I want to make sure that I at least like who I am. It makes it easier for others to soak up what we carry if we walk self-assured and comfortable. Have you been around someone who's comfortable in their own skin? Isn't it easier to be around him or her versus someone who isn't at ease or happy with themselves?

I’d like to close by saying, you are beautifully unique. You have strengths that are wonderful. Learn to rest in them as you develop; don’t strive to be known. You being your true self will, without doubt, turn many heads! As they turn, my hope for you is that they're looking to see who brought the beautiful shift into the room. Don't put someone else down to build yourself up. Join in giving applause to those who have done well and sincerely enter into their celebration.

Be intentional!

Think positively about yourself.

Speak that out.

Give away kindness.

Be aromatic!
