A Homeschoolers Thoughts

We recognize each of our children are unique and learn differently, so the idea of tailoring education to their specific needs feels absolutely right. This also means, homeschooling isn't for everyone. Even though we currently homeschool all 3 of our kids, we're regularly evaluating our process and their experience, and keeping the conversation open as to what we may do in the coming year. We're definitely not set on it being one way forever! Our children's opinions matter to us. We encourage them to think for themselves and express their thoughts and emotions.

Frozen II Inspired Me

As Anna sang, the despair and grief I felt was palpable. I knew what she was talking about. I had been there. Life has felt so dark and overwhelming at times that I questioned if it would ever feel manageable and enjoyable again. But, as Anna continued to sing I felt hope stirring. I could feel her strength rising as she realized she could stand and take one step. She saw the way to move forward. She saw a way out. The light was visible! And she started to take steps to get there.

Exposing The Inner Critic

Mistakes are a normal part of life. We learn from making mistakes and trying again! Practice is an amazing thing. We should be practicing through life so we get better at how we do it, not so we become perfect and master it. If you do master something be sure to keep a learner's mindset. There are so many people we can benefit from and so much more to learn. This is not meant to cause intimidation, just relief.
